Tolmin is the largest settlement and an administrative center in the Upper Soča Valley. Its greatest attractions are small paths along the river Soča and trekking with natural and cultural heritage such as Tolmin Gorges (the lowest point of the Triglav National Park) and Javorca, (the most beautiful monument from the First World War). The history of the whole region one can explore in the ‘Museum of Tolmin’.

Tolmin is not as touristy as Kobarid and Bovec so you will enjoy more unspoiled and undiscovered places in the nature. However, it can get crowded when there are some week festivals such us the Metal Camp, ‘Sajeta’ festival and other musical festivals. It's good to check in advance when exactly the festivals starts, to joint or to avoid them because Tolmin appear to be very busy place at that time.
